Claude Artifacts Explained: The Feature That Changes How You Use AI

If you have spent any time with Claude recently, you have probably noticed something different about how it handles certain responses. Instead of dumping code or formatted content into the chat window, Claude sometimes opens a separate panel on the right side of the screen. A live, interactive, rendered output sitting right next to your conversation.
That panel is called an Artifact. And once you understand what it does, you will never want to go back to a plain chat interface again.
I have been an ardent user of ChatGPT since its inception. I use it for audio transcription, coding, understanding any topic better, to critique my work, medical diagnoses, etc. It is central to almost everything that I do that requires any form of intelligence. Although I have been using ChatGPT for a long time, I only got on Claude a few weeks back. One day, I was using Claude to brainstorm a project and asked it to build an MVP for me, hoping to copy the code and deploy it on Vercel, but I was blown away to see Claude build the project and open it on the right-hand side. I was able to publish and interact with the project within a few minutes. So let’s dive deeper into what the Claude Artifact is and how you can use it.
